The AGNC has released a toolkit entitled "Genetic Counsellors in the mainstream: Your Genomic Partner in Patient Care".
This toolkit is aimed at specialists who are seeking to expand genomic services in their field, and embed genetic counselling into their departmental practice in a safe, appropriate and effective way, as well as genetic counsellors themselves who are either involved in mainstream practice or considering it as a role. It provides an overview of how genetic counsellors can support patients in mainstream settings and advantages of having a genetic counsellor in embedded in mainstream teams.
