The Genetic Counsellor
Training Panel (GCTP) has developed a guide for new GCs to
facilitate structured training based around competencies required
for GCRB registration. The guide includes advice regarding
mentorship, continuing professional development opportunities and
tips for preparing for registration.
The pack replaces the "Genetic Counsellor Training in the UK: an
Information Pack" first created for genetic counsellor trainees
funded by Department of Health band 6 roles from 2005 which was
later updated in 2015.
