The AGNC Career Structure
and Salaries Working Group have been working
for some time on a career structure for
genetic counsellors. An initial draft was
circulated and the membership voted to move
forward with the proposal at the AGM in York
2002. |

|
After a rigorous consultation process with
AGNC members, Gary Kirwan Employment
Relations Adviser for the RCN and Colin
Adkins Amicus Health Section Research and
Policy Officer, the Career Structure
Document was produced. |
|
|
|
In March 2004 AGNC members were invited to
vote on whether or not the AGNC should adopt
and promote the Career Structure.
